Required Orientation

If you are an international student with a student visa, you are required by the U.S. government to attend an orientation session for new international students.

In the orientation session, we will discuss important immigration matters, and you will be required to then submit a signed Statement of Acknowledgement. 

For Fall 2024, the main orientation session for new international students is scheduled for Monday, August 19 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.  If you are unable to attend the August 19 session, you must attend the alternative session on Sunday, August 25 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Both orientation sessions will be held on the second floor of the Campus Center (building CC on this map).  

Please remember that attending the orientation session for new international students is required to maintain your immigration status, and if you do not attend, you will not be able to register for classes.

In addition to the required orientation for new international students, you will most likely be required to attend other orientation sessions. For information on all of the orientation sessions scheduled for Fall 2024, please go here.
